Glowy Makeup Tutorial (From a Former Beauty Editor)

By Estelle Erasmus

I might have mentioned before that I am a former beauty editor and co-author of a best-selling beauty book called Beautiful Skin: Every Woman’s Guide to Looking Her Best at Any Age (Adams Media), which I wrote under my maiden name.

I have wanted to share some of my best beauty secrets for a while. It took me several hours to learn how to use iMovie (and I’m still learning) and then add titles on YouTube, but I think I figured it out.

So…drumroll… here is my first makeup tutorial. You’ll want to watch it if you want a glowy day makeup look, using highlighters.

  1. I really like the copper under the eyes! I have found that black is too harsh but not sure what light colour would be good for someone who is a natural blonde going gray. Suggestions?

  2. I swear by Bare Minerals (for YEARS) as my foundation. I have the same routine: Cover Girl makes a great base to keep your makeup staying longer (and it’s much less expensive, too), various Maybelline eyeshadows, Estee Lauder (I like supporting them cause they are good to Israel) mascara, Bobbie Brown blush and various lipsticks. This routine is more current since my skin has changed at age 55; I need to change the way I do makeup. I also have no patience to spend a lot of time doing it!

Thanks for this video. It’s a great service and you look great.
